The beautiful Myall River and Myall Lakes, with easy access from the many boat ramps along the shoreline, offer a real treat for the boating enthusiast. Power boats, windsurfers, catamarans and canoes are available for hire. Dolphins meander up the Myall River every day, and are often spotted at Jimmy’s Beach and Bennett’s Beach, the main surfing beach.
Seafood is plentiful, and if you don’t catch it yourself, there are many outlets to buy it fresh , or indulge, from one of the many café’s, restaurants and clubs. Seafood such as oysters, lobsters, prawns, crabs, squid and a variety of fish are all plentiful in season. The Myall Prawn is a famous delicacy and can be caught by the amateur along the shores and lakes from January to March.
