PINDIMAR

A very picturesque and community oriented village on the shores of Port Stephens.

A magical area directly opposite Nelson Bay featuring magnificent panoramic views of the area. Surround yourself and your family in nature\'s beauty while still having close access to all modern facilities.....a rare gem.

Pindimar is accessed from the Pacific Highway 70 km North of Newcastle. Take the Tea Gardens/Hawks Nest turn off and 2 km along that road turn left to Pindimar.

Pindimar (an Aboriginal name meaning 'Black Possum') was once proposed as the site for the establishment of a major port city on the shores of Port Stephens. Pindimar was also the suggested site of a naval base for the Pacific Fleet by Admiral of the Fleet, Viscount Jellicoe, in 1919.
